Southern Sierra Critical Zone Observatory Southern Sierra Critical Zone ObservatoryA community platform for research on critical-zone processes, enhancing understanding of water and forest management, hydrologic predictions, climate impacts and ecosystem services. Active 2007-2022. Core support provided by NSF, leveraged many times over by community partners. Hosted by the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service. Summary of accomplishments, impacts, data (more coming). Succeeded by NSFs Critical Zone Collaborative Network. Also see NSFs NEON California node, and PSWs Kings River Experimental Watersheds.
